Responsibilities
- Marketplace Strategy & GMV Growth
- Define and execute a supply-side roadmap to grow Gross Merchandise Value (GMV).
- Focus on building a high-converting product catalog with fast-shipping, low-return, trending items.
- Identify product category opportunities based on platform data, seller feedback, and market trends.
- Seller Discovery & Engagement
- Actively engage with sellers to understand their product sourcing needs and pain points.
- Provide customized product or supplier recommendations based on seller goals and categories.
- Maintain strong relationships with top sellers to ensure repeat transactions and long-term retention.
- Supplier Acquisition & Onboarding
- Identify, negotiate, and onboard quality US-based suppliers and distributors that fit seller needs.
- Build a reliable and diverse supplier network to serve various niches and shipping models.
- Ensure supplier onboarding is smooth via API, CSV, or manual methods, depending on their tech maturity.
- Supplier Promotion to Sellers
- Promote supplier offerings to relevant sellers through platform features, email campaigns, or direct outreach.
- Work with the marketing team to drive visibility and seasonal campaigns around supplier products.
- Ensure sellers are aware of new and high-converting product offers that match current demand.
- Marketplace Performance & Optimization
- Monitor key metrics like GMV, order fill rates, inventory depth, supplier response time, and seller activity.
- Use data insights to fine-tune supplier ranking, product visibility, and pricing incentives.
- Run experiments to test product promotion formats, engagement tools, and conversion drivers.
- Cross-functional Leadership & Execution
- Collaborate with Product to build and improve supplier-seller interaction flows and dashboard experience.
- Partner with Marketing on go-to-market strategies for featured suppliers and product launches.
- Support Customer Success to resolve any supplier-related issues and enforce SLAs.
Qualifications
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in marketplace operations, supply chain, vendor management, or business development — ideally in eCommerce or SaaS.
- Deep understanding of the US wholesale, logistics, or dropshipping landscape.
- Proven success in sourcing, onboarding, and managing supplier relationships.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communicator and negotiator who can operate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, remote-first, high-growth environment.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, or other dropshipping tech stacks.
- Experience integrating 3rd-party suppliers into SaaS platforms.
- Knowledge of logistics, 3PL, warehousing, or cross-border fulfillment.
- Network of vetted, US-based dropshipping-friendly suppliers.
